Don agrees to withdraw his claim on Number 5. Vicky's birthday is overshadowed by her discovery of Steve's dishonesty. Tricia finds herself in serious financial trouble.

Ken and Denise's happiness comes under threat when Brian pays a visit. Tricia is hunted down by the police. Vicky despairs as Steve celebrates his acquittal. Vera criticises Jack's appearance.

Liz has Jim arrested after he breaks his parole by trying to talk to her.

Curly joins Maureen's search for Reg in Lowestoft. The Wiltons are suspicious when an allotment becomes available. Josie makes a discovery about the garage sale.

Vicky receives conflicting advice from Steve and Uncle Nick. Maud convinces Maureen to take decisive action regarding Reg's flat. The racehorse owners come under pressure to cut their losses.

Steve visits Malcolm Fox for an explanation of the police's enquiries. The syndicate's womenfolk deplore the idea of selling the horse for meat. Liz and Jim come face to face again.

Liz despairs of Steve's unshakeable confidence in his hold over Vicky. Kelly sets her sights on a change of address. Jack asks Betty to run the Rovers.

Fred worries about Rita and Alec's history. Billy fails to keep control when given the run of the Rovers' bar. Des and Claire share their past hurts.

Tricia spins out her work for Mike to earn extra money. Kelly's mother arrives to inspect Ken and Number 1. Betty punishes Billy for his drunken antics.

Ashley angers Fred by skipping work to move Kelly in to Number 1. Jim gives Vicky pause to blame herself. Des hopes to impress Claire's teenage daughter.

Alec and the McDonalds hope for the best as Steve and Vicky give evidence in court. Mike interviews Tricia for a job. Kelly tries to persuade Ashley to speak to Fred.

Jack and Vera are astonished when Terry turns up with Tommy in tow. Derek becomes convinced that Norris has murdered Angela. Alma panics as Stephen arrives in the UK to meet Mike.

Jack's suspicions of Terry are vindicated when the Hortons turn up, demanding Tommy's return. Derek and Mavis are horrified that Norris may be a murderer. Alma tries to avoid contact with Stephen.

A passing remark from Billy raises concerns for Des. Ashley enquires about renting Don's spare room. Curly learns that Raquel's priorities have changed.
