Dr. Durán invites Juan Miguel to work with him. Candelaria finds Marichuy's jewelry box in the trash. Patricio demands that Marichuy forget about Juan Miguel. Ana Julia takes Mayita away without warning, leaving everyone very distressed.

Ana Julia tells Marichuy that she is pregnant and that Juan Miguel has returned to Mexico. Patricio and Cecilia try to stop the operation that has already begun, but Juan Miguel refuses.

Marichuy survives the operation. Amador refuses to help his son with the transplant. Ana Julia tells Mayita that she is pregnant with Juan Miguel's child.

Onelia threatens Ana Julia so she won't mess with her family again. Amador and Vicente kidnap Rafael. Vicente calls to demand a ransom for Rafael, but Juan Miguel recognizes his voice.

Officer Cimarro arrests Vicente. Marichuy regains her sight and discovers that Dr. Cisneros is actually Juan Miguel.

Cimarro and Juan Miguel manage to rescue Rafael. Dr. Reynaldo offers Marichuy a job at a community clinic. Marichuy confesses to Juan Miguel that she has no intention of forgiving him or believing in something that has caused her so much pain.

Marichuy despises Juan Miguel and asks him not to come looking for her again. Ana Julia and Vicente decide to join forces against Amador.

Marichuy demands that Juan Miguel and Ana Julia disappear from her life. Marichuy starts working at the community clinic.

Ana Julia reports Juan Miguel, Onelia, and Marichuy as her attackers. Reynaldo declares his love for Marichuy, and she rejects him. Juan Miguel operates on Rafael.

Rafael can see thanks to Juan Miguel's operation. Amador confesses to Marichuy that the child Ana Julia is expecting is his.

Amador tries to flee the country, but the police manage to arrest him. Marichuy proposes marriage to Juan Miguel, and he accepts.

Rocío and Daniel get married. Marichuy and Juan Miguel plan to renew their vows, but Ana Julia kidnaps Marichuy to kill her and then commit suicide.

Ana Julia's daughter is born. Juan Miguel, Cimarro, and Patricio find Marichuy with Ana Julia's daughter. Amador does not regret his misdeeds, but he acknowledges that he is a failure.

Adrián and Purita adopt Ana Julia's baby, who saves Eduardito by providing him with the cells to cure him. Marichuy and Juan Miguel renew their wedding vows and throw a big party in the neighborhood that welcomed Marichuy for so many years.

Surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones, Marichuy and Juan Miguel enjoy their celebration. Marichuy and Juan Miguel go on their honeymoon to the beach and, together with Mayita and Juanito, form a close-knit family full of love.
