Margaret tries to teach Sadie about social status, but accidentally embarrasses a classmate.

Sadie is worried that her mom will be disappointed with her when she gets a C in art class, so she enlists for the help of a tutor--- who turns out to be her older brother, Hal.

Sadie plans to go scuba diving with her father are jeopardized by a new science teacher; Margaret and Rain devise new ways to communicate.

Sadie's confidence is high when she enters a speech contest and writes a speech about animal domestication.

Sadie's family doesn't make a very good first impression on her crush, Owen Anthony (Kyle Kass), when he unexpectedly visits the Hawthorne home. In hopes of casting Hal and her parents in a more favorable light, Sadie invites Owen for dinner, but Margaret's interference threatens to ruin everything. Elsewhere, Rain has a beef with Tad.

Sadie gets to meet eminent British primatologist Jane Goodall.

Sadie tries to become more girly after she's mistaken for a boy; Rain is shocked to learn that, unlike himself, his parents were considered cool in high school.

Sadie fears for her reputation after she inadvertently blurts out something unflattering about one of the most popular girls at school.

Sadie's “predator instincts” kick in and she enters into a feud with Margaret over a boy who she doesn't really like in the first place.

Sadie's overly high expectations for her internship with a famed animal behaviorist result in frustration and disappointment. Meanwhile, Rain finds out---the hard way---that he isn't cut out for his new job as a life coach.

Sadie feels tremendous pressure as the deadline for a school project approaches and she remains undecided about a topic. She worries that the stress is getting to her when she starts to see and hear wild animals, including a Bengal tiger on her front porch.
