Trading Spaces: Boys vs. Girls hits the air with an awesome premiere on May 17! Alex, a 13-year-old aspiring actress, says her room needs more pizzazz. She doesn't want it to be so ""kid-like."" (Bye-bye, giraffes!) Jeremiah, meanwhile, thinks his room is too dark. Besides, his mom ""just did the whole thing."" Alex and Jeremiah have known each other since the first grade, but do they know each other well enough to help create the other's fantasy room?

This week's rooms belong to Kimmie and Jason, who've known each other for years. Kimmie is seriously into sports, especially soccer, and has a room full of trophies to show for it. Jason, meanwhile, likes to hang out in his room listening to music. He also loves to dance. So how will their favorite things be played out in their new digs? Okay, a new pair of kids is up for some big changes. This week the boy is Garrett, a 10-year-old who can't get enough basketball but is really tired of his room, which he says hasn't been changed since he was in pre-school.
